Hydroenergy Most of Romania’s renewable energey is produced in hydroenergetic area. Vidraru dam, was at the time of its inauguration (1965) the fifth in Europe and the ninth in the world. The dam is erected on the slopes of Pleasa and Vidraru mountains. The turbines and the electric generators produce 400 GWh/year during a medium hydrologic year. |
